Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SolarSpecHub ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit solarspechub.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the Site, serve advertising, and improve our content. Specifically:
- Log data automatically collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare): IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, date and time of visit.
- Aggregate analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics: page views, referral sources, country-level location. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors across sites.
- Advertising-related data collected by Google AdSense and its partners as described in Section 3 below.
We do not operate any user registration, login, contact form, newsletter, or shopping cart. We do not knowingly collect names, postal addresses, phone numbers, or payment information directly through the Site.
2. Calculator Tools and On-Page Inputs
All calculators on SolarSpecHub (solar savings, system sizing, payback period, battery sizing, etc.) run entirely in your browser. Inputs you enter into these tools are processed client-side only and are not transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with any third party. Closing the tab clears the data.
3. Google AdSense and Advertising Cookies
SolarSpecHub uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may set or access cookies on your device in order to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites (a feature commonly referred to as personalized or interest-based advertising).
- Measure ad performance, frequency, and reach.
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie and other identifiers in this process. As required by Google's policies, we disclose:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or www.networkadvertising.org.
For a complete list of Google's advertising partners and the data they receive, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
4. Analytics
For first-party traffic measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookie-less. It provides only aggregate, anonymous traffic statistics. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for details.
5. EU / UK Users and GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws apply.
The lawful basis on which we and our advertising partner Google rely for processing personal data is consent. Where required, Google will display a consent banner (the Google "Funding Choices" / consent management framework) before serving personalized ads, and you may freely accept, reject, or customize your choices. Rejecting personalized ads does not prevent non-personalized ads from being shown.
As a data subject in these jurisdictions, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we (or our partners) hold about you.
- Request rectification or erasure of that data.
- Object to processing or request restriction.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights against SolarSpecHub directly, contact us using the address in Section 9. For Google-held data, see Google's Privacy Policy and use the Google Ad Center.
6. California Users (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights:
- Right to know what categories of personal information are collected about you.
- Right to delete personal information collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. SolarSpecHub does not sell personal information for monetary value, but the use of advertising cookies by Google and its partners may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA's expanded definition.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the rights above.
To opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising, visit Google Ads Settings and disable "Ads Personalization", or use a browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal — we honor GPC signals where they apply.
7. Children's Privacy
SolarSpecHub is a general-audience site about solar equipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA / UK). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to manufacturer datasheets, news articles, and other external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites. Please review their own privacy policies before submitting personal information.
9. Contact Us
For privacy questions, data-subject requests, or any other concern about how your information is handled on SolarSpecHub, contact us at madeauabcdxa69@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law, by displaying a notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
